Phil created his project Murena Alumena back in 2019 and all this time he has been experimenting with his sound: from blackened hardcore to half electronic emo and noisy.
The name was taken from the random word Alumena, which later accompanied Phil through life, and the sea animal moray eel. Despite the change of genres from track to track, the mood of all songs is dreary and gloomy, but many of the lyrics touch on the forest, which is very important to Phil.
Almost all tracks use split vocals. Heavy guitar riffs can be replaced by melodic overdubs or painted over with effects to the point where they can hardly be distinguished from a synthesizer.
